THE STAGE MIXED DEVELOPMENT

London, United Kingdom

A 38-storey 125m-high 435,000sqft residential tower with 2 levels of basement in PT construction. The superstructure of this building consists of highly efficient PT flat slabs with narrow high-grade concrete columns hidden within architectural partitions enabling the avoidance of the expensive transfer floor. Multi-level staged construction sequence structural analysis was undertaken to accurately quantify and evaluate the effects of differential axial shortening of the narrow columns onto the PT flat slabs. The lateral stability system consists of a slab-coupled concrete core and unobtrusive concrete outrigger walls at certain designated floors completing a robust and laterally stiff residential building tower.
