KUL21 DATA CENTRE [64MW]
Jalan Cyber Point 4, Cyber 8, Cyberjaya, Malaysia
A 64MW single-storey sprawling data centre building designed to be constructed in precast concrete consisting of prestressed hollow-core slabs, reinforced double-T slabs, precast prestressed concreted beam, precast concrete columns and walls, and steelwork for speed, efficiency, economy and safety in construction.
Critical to the delivery of the facility is the precast nature of the structural material, enabling off-site mobilisation and fabrication: -
• Cantilever precast columns enabling independent, stable, unpropped construction
• Precast prestressed hollow-core slabs, precast reinforced double-T slabs and precast prestressed beams, enabling an almost column free rack layout
• Steel beams, enabling a clean, safe, offsite fabricated and lifted into place owner supplied equipment (generator, power-train-units) support framework
Building structure is also designed to resist earthquake excitations to MS EN1998-1:2015 (2017) from far-field seismic events subjecting the site to a low level of seismicity (0.075g or 7.5%g at bedrock for a 2% probability of exceedance in 50 years and corresponding to a return period of 2,475 years).
