Construction progresses rapidly on the superstructure of the BBCC Lucentia Residential Towers at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with the construction of the 2000mm transfer plate !
A 233.75m-high condominium development consisting of a 63-storey and a 50-storey condominium inclusive of 4 levels of basement car parking and 13 levels of elevated car parking with facilities with a 2000mm thick post-tensioned (PT) concrete transfer floor. The building superstructure consists of RC flat slabs, RC core walls and RC shear walls within the residential units offering a superior architectural product without any structural protrusions whatsoever. These shear walls are subsequently founded upon a structurally efficient 2000mm thick dual-cast PT transfer plate which separates the residential floors from the elevated car park and facility floors beneath, transferring both the vertical and lateral load function framing systems. Lateral stability in the X-direction is provided by the longer dimension of the coupled core wall whilst the lateral stability in the Y-direction is provided by the shorter dimension of the coupled core wall and virtual outriggers at the transfer levels 5 and 36.
